Top Marketing Trends Businesses Should Watch in 2026

Published on January 19, 2026

The coming year has a lot of exciting things in store for modern marketing. Here’s what to watch.

AI

AI is already being used by 88% of marketers for everyday tasks including campaign ideas, analytics, and content subject brainstorming. Although many people use ChatGPT and similar services to produce content for their blogs, we don’t think this is the best course of action. Nothing compares to the superior quality of an article authored by a reputable person.

Audience Connection

Authenticity will trump highly polished content in 2026. Customers are drawn to companies that are relatable, human, and community oriented. Instead of one-sided messages, there will be more behind-the-scenes photos, authentic consumer testimonials, participatory articles, and continuing dialogues. Short-form videos will remain popular, particularly on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. Stronger engagement and loyalty will be experienced by brands that value personality, narrative, and a regular posting schedule.

Influencers

Influencer marketing is once again at the top of marketers’ agendas; therefore, we can’t ignore it when searching for advertising trends. With a high return on investment, this successful B2B marketing strategy persuades many marketing professionals to devote a percentage of their budget to working with informed industry leaders. According to one analysis, influencer marketing makes an average of $5.20 for every dollar invested. Because of this, companies don’t hesitate to collaborate with major influencers and pay them large sums of money to advertise their goods and services.

UGC

Any content that people share about your product on their social media accounts is known as user-generated content, or UGC. Although the content itself could resemble that of influencers or affiliate partners, companies do not directly collaborate with users to create or support the content. It’s more akin to word-of-mouth advertising, in which individuals produce material and distribute it to their audiences. Businesses can then take advantage of this content by using strategies like freebies or social media sharing.

Personalization Continues

Additionally, 96% of marketers claim that personalized experiences made possible by AI result in higher sales. To unleash data-driven purchasing decisions and boost customer happiness, machine learning product suggestions, or immersive experiences—such as augmented reality (AR) features that let users “view” physical objects in their space—tap into specific consumer preferences.
